We transfer to Eros Airport and fly to Wolwedans headquarters in the NamibRand Nature Reserve, from where we transfer for an hour by road to our camp. This afternoon, we will begin our exploration of the reserve. Flight will be 1hr 25min.
The Namib Rand Reserve is among the largest privately owned game parks in Southern Africa. Its mix of dunes, mountains, rocky outcrops, sandy flats and gravel plains provides habitats for a diversity of mammals - including hyenas, jackals, foxes, antelopes and various wild cats - as well as a plethora of bird species, reptiles, insects, frogs and flora. Visitors can discover the mysterious ‘fairy circles’, which dot the landscape and sip on sundowners while watching the sunset over this unspoilt ancient landscape. Having been named Africa's first International Dark Sky Reserve, it is one of the least light-polluted areas in the world, so don't miss this excellent star gazing opportunity.
From Boulders Camp you can explore the deep south of the NamibRand Nature Reserve. Guided scenic drives, or two to three hour walking safaris treading along the ancient hunting grounds of the bushmen, will happily fill your time.

We spend the day exploring the vast, open spaces of the NamibRand Game Reserve. Options for the day include a full or half day scenic drive, walking safari, 1 hour balloon trip (seasonally available), horseback safari or a village tour.

Situated in the heart of the Namib Naukluft Park, Sossusvlei is one of the most fascinating landscapes in Namibia. Gigantic orange dunes, dramatic shadows, undulating plains and rocky mountains create a magical kaleidoscope of colours and shapes. And truly the best way to experience this is in a hot air balloon. Watching the spectacular sunrise over this magnificent landscape from a silent hot air balloon is the experience of a lifetime, never to be forgotten. At landing, you come back to earth with an “Out Of Africa” style Champagne breakfast set up in the middle of nowhere.

After the morning activities and breakfast (time permitting), we transfer 2 hours north by road to Sossusvlei, arriving at our next camp in time for lunch.
Little Kulala is the closest luxury desert retreat to the famous, seen-from-space Sossusvlei dunes. Guests enjoy exclusive private concession access, and the camp's location makes early morning dune visits very easy.
Sossusvlei is where you will find the iconic red sand dunes of the Namib with its unique dunes rising to almost 400 metres-some of the highest in the world. The clear blue skies contrast with the giant red dunes to make this one of the most scenic natural wonders of Africa and a photographer's heaven. Sossusvlei is home to a variety desert wildlife including oryx, springbok, ostrich and a variety of reptiles. Visitors can climb ‘Big Daddy’, one of Sossusvlei's tallest dunes; explore Deadvlei, a white, salt, claypan dotted with ancient trees; or for the more extravagant, scenic flights and hot air ballooning are on offer, followed by a once-in-a-lifetime champagne breakfast amidst these majestic dunes.
Afternoon Nature Drive followed by a sundowner
The 37,000 hectare private Kulala Wilderness Reserve offers visitors exclusive wildlife-viewing opportunities which include the likes of oryx, bat-eared fox, brown hyena and birdlife. Drinks stops in scenic parts of the reserve are a highlight. Complete your excursion in a remote and dramatic spot on the reserve sipping a gin and tonic while watching the sun goes down

Today we explore the magnificent Sossusvlei area, with its gigantic red dunes, salt pans and dead trees.
Morning: Visit to Sossusvlei and Dead Vlei.
World-famous Sossusvlei is the name of an enormous clay pan, flanked by the famous sand dunes that flush red in the early morning sun - as well as the name of the area in general. Close to the Sossusvlei pan is Dead Vlei, another pan where water once flowed, but now all that remains are the skeletons of trees reach up out of the cracked earth.
Morning: Visit Sesriem Canyon.
This fascinating geographical formation is well worth a visit. The result of millions of years where water carved its way into the earth, Sesriem Canyon is today three kilometres long. Views from the top are breathtaking while walks through the canyon reveal distinct geographical layers which were laid down over aeons..
Afternoon: Sundowner tour.
Set out in the late afternoon for a nature drive and complete your excursion in a remote and dramatic spot on the reserve sipping a gin and tonic while watching the sun goes down.

We fly from Sossusvlei to Doro Nawas via Swakopmund, and then from Dora Nawas to the Skeleton Coast near the Hoanib River. We arrive at our camp for lunch, and begin exploring this afternoon. The flight will be around 1hr50min.
Stretching from the Swakop River to southern Angola, the Skeleton Coast is known as the 'Land God Made in Anger'. This coast is desolate but breathtakingly beautiful. Thousands of miles of sandy desert dotted with shipwrecks meet with the cold waters of the Atlantic and somehow an amazing array of wildlife and flora manages to survive in this harsh but beautiful environment. Wildlife includes seabird colonies, Cape fur seals, zebra, gemsbok, desert-adapted elephant, lion and much more.
Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp consists of eight large en-suite tents and the main area provides shady viewpoints, while nature drives into the surrounding area reveal a wealth of desert-adapted wildlife. Desert-adapted lion and brown hyaena may also be glimpsed in this vast landscape.

We depart our camp and fly to Doro Nawas, and on to the Ongava Game reserve, bordering the Etosha National Park. The flight will be around 1hr 30min.
Sharing the southern boundary with Etosha National Park, the prolific 30 000-hectare private Ongava Game Reserve is considered one of the top private game reserves in the region, enjoying global recognition for exceptional conservation, groundbreaking research and exciting safari experiences. The landscape is characterised by vast open plains dotted with salt plans and abundant wildlife. One of Ongava's top attractions is its rhino population and guests can experience the thrill of getting close to these majestic creatures.
Ongava Lodge is one of Namibia's premier lodges. It is situated close to the top of a hill, with a beautiful vantage point which overlooks a well-frequented waterhole and the plains beyond. It offers opulent accommodation in rock-and-thatch en-suite chalets. There are impressive views over the camp's waterhole from the main lounge and dining areas and there is also an inviting pool to cool off in. Meals are either served in the main dining area or under the stars.
Activities include game drives into Etosha, spending time in the camp hide, and nature drives and walks on the reserve. Ongava has resident white and black rhino, giving guests staying at Ongava the opportunity to see both species.

The hide is a fantastic place to while the hours away up close and personal with wildlife slaking its thirst at the camp waterhole. This arid environment where little water occurs makes this a popular drinking spot for game.

We explore the wildlife and landscapes of the Ongava Game Reserve and Etosha National Park. This morning we will do a game drive in the Etosha National Park in the morning and a game drive in Ongava in the afternoon.
Morning: Excursions into Etosha National Park
Enjoy a game drive in Etosha, Namibia's prime savannah wilderness area; see the massive saltpan as well as the perennial springs that provide the water required by the Park's high-density big game population, including its elephant population.
Afternoon: Game drive on Ongava Game Reserve
The reserve is famed for its population of rhino as well as lion and other game such as antelope, including endemic black-faced impala.
