Itinerary Day by Day

Days 1 & 2: Windhoek → Namib Desert

• Collect your fully equipped 4x4 vehicle in Windhoek and begin your self-drive adventure into the spectacular Namib Desert.

• Explore the iconic landscapes of Sossusvlei, Deadvlei, and the towering dunes of Dune 45 at your own pace.

• Enjoy unforgettable desert sunsets and clear night skies from your campsite.

• Overnight: Namib Desert Lodge.

Days 3 & 4: Namib Desert → Swakopmund

• Journey west to the Atlantic coast and the charming seaside town of Swakopmund.

• Visit Walvis Bay Lagoon to admire its famous flamingo colonies.

• Relax or choose from optional activities including quad biking, desert tours, dolphin cruises, and exploring the town's colonial architecture.

• Overnight: Atlantic Garden Boutique Hotel.

Days 5: Swakopmund → Damaraland

• Travel north into the dramatic landscapes of Damaraland and the scenic Mowani area.

• Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Twyfelfontein and discover its remarkable ancient rock engravings.

• Explore rugged valleys, dry riverbeds, and enjoy spectacular stargazing beneath Namibia's pristine night skies.

Day 6 & 7: Damaraland → Etosha National Park (South)

• Continue to the southern entrance of Etosha National Park.

• Settle into your campsite before embarking on your first self-drive game drive in search of elephants, lions, rhinos, giraffes, and other iconic wildlife.

• Overnight: Etosha Safari Lodge.

Days 8: Etosha National Park (South → East)

• Drive across Etosha National Park, visiting renowned waterholes and diverse wildlife habitats.

• Spend time exploring the eastern section of the park at your own pace, enjoying exceptional wildlife viewing opportunities.

• Overnight: Mokuti Etosha Lodge .

Day 9: Etosha National Park → Kavango River

• Travel northeast to the lush banks of the Okavango (Kavango) River.

• Relax at your riverside campsite while taking in peaceful sunset views over the water.

• Experience the striking contrast between Namibia's arid landscapes and its vibrant river ecosystems.

• Overnight: Hakusembe River Lodge.

Days 10 & 11: Kavango River → Bwabwata National Park

• Enter the wildlife-rich Caprivi Strip and camp in the heart of Bwabwata National Park.

• Enjoy self-drive safaris along the river systems, where elephants, buffaloes, hippos, antelope, and abundant birdlife thrive.

• Experience one of Namibia's most diverse and scenic conservation areas.

Days 12: Bwabwata National Park → Chobe River (Botswana)

• Cross into Botswana and continue to the legendary Chobe River.

• Explore one of Africa's premier wildlife destinations, renowned for its enormous elephant herds and exceptional game viewing.

• Enjoy self-drive safaris or choose an optional boat cruise along the Chobe River for a different perspective.

• Overnight: Namushasha River Lodge

Day 13 & 14: Chobe River

• Cross into Zimbabwe to experience the breathtaking Victoria Falls, known as "The Smoke That Thunders."

• Explore spectacular viewpoints, browse the vibrant town, or enjoy optional adventure activities before your onward journey.

• Overnight: Chobe Safari Lodge.

Day 15: Victoria Falls

• Cross into Zimbabwe to experience the breathtaking Victoria Falls, known as "The Smoke That Thunders."

• Explore spectacular viewpoints, browse the vibrant town, or enjoy optional adventure activities before your onward journey.

• Overnight: A 'Zambezi Lodge.

Day 16: Victoria Falls → Airport & Departure

• After breakfast, enjoy your final moments in Victoria Falls before being transferred to the airport.

• Your vehicle will be returned at the airport, after which you will proceed to check in for your onward flight home, bringing your unforgettable Southern African self-drive adventure to a smooth and memorable conclusion.
